About
Hi! I'm Maya, founder of Organized and Inspired LLC, and I want to thank you for getting to know me! The idea for Organized and Inspired was born out of the world of pharmacy. It seems like an odd place for inspiration to strike but as a pharmacist and operations specialist, my problem solving skills and natural organizing ability led me to become a professional organizer. One of my managers said to me one day, "You missed your calling," while working on a medication safety project that included organizing medications into drawers. I decided that organizing was indeed my calling and I could help people who have ADHD, chronic illnesses, and more without judgment. I've always provided compassion and positivity to my patients and can continue to provide the same to my organizing clients. I truly just want to help people and share my organizing passion with everyone!
My Story
Let's rewind 15+ years. I have always loved organizing and problem solving (even when I was a kid) but when I was in college, I became a master at creating space out of nothing. Not to mention I didn't have a lot of money so I had to come up with creative and affordable solutions for all my stuff. I constantly evaluated what worked and what didn't and came up with systems that worked for me (and I hope to create something that works for you!). For example, I started organizing my clothes by color and type because it was so much easier for me to find what I was looking for as a busy college student. Now this is something that professional organizers teach their clients. It's not only aesthetically pleasing but also practical and something that I had done organically as a teenager.

I have always been driven, not just to do things, but to be the best that I can be in all aspects of my life. So of course I strive to be the best home organizer. Let's go back 10+ years. A fun fact about me is that I was a former Dallas Cowboys Rhythm and Blue Dancer. There were many failures trying to make different dance teams in the Dallas area, but I never gave up. I kept growing, working hard, and giving it my all to eventually make it on the NFL's premier hip hop dance team. You can bet that I put this same effort into my organizing career. I am a founding member of The Home Edit Organizing Society where I have the opportunity to learn from the very best in the industry and collaborate with other organizers so that I can show up as my best self for you!

It doesn't stop there, so let's go back 5+ years. I graduated with my doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Colorado and have worked in different areas of pharmacy including retail, home infusion, and hospital. I have had the opportunity to be an expert witness, speak on the radio, teach university students and provide continuing education. Rest assured that I will be professional, detail-oriented, and committed to making your space organized!
I hope you enjoyed getting to know me and I can't wait to get to know you!
